Three organizations (Mile Zero Dance, FAVA, and Metro Cinema) are collaborating to present the latest edition of STEM Cell, a celebration of experimental film, video, media art, and dance-on-screen works.
The 2010 festival includes:

- a live performance by Daniel Barrow of his manual animation, Every Time I See Your Picture I Cry
- the premiere of Mile Zero Dance's Badlands Project, a dance on screen work made in collaboration by Gerry Morita, Hideo Arai, and David Jeffrey Buchanan
- five packages of short experimental documentaries, including work by John Greyson and Tom Sherman (both winners of the Bell Award in Video Art), and by local filmmakers Aaron Munson, Trevor Anderson and Ashleigh Brown, among many others.
- a screening of Blush, a dance on screen work by Ultima Vez & Wim Vandekeybus, with music by David Eugene Edwards of Woven Hand, and 16 Horsepower
- two screenings of short dance on screen work, including Danse Macabre by Pedro Pires (one of Canada's Top Ten Short Films of 2009)
- a piece of media art abandonware by local artist Mr Wick. A media art sculpture will be left in public during the course of the festival; once we know the location, we will announce it via Facebook and our website. There is no guarantee that the work will not be cleaned up, vandalized or removed before audience members get to see it, although we will document it as best as we can.
